About This Site
nickcarroll.com is an OLPN-enabled website that hosts my OLPN Identity Hub — a decentralized profile built from verifiable credentials, structured metadata, and ActivityPub accounts. Some information here — like my name — is self-declared, but it gains meaning from independently issued credentials published by the platforms I write for, the organizations I belong to, and the networks I take part in. That’s what makes this identity portable, machine-verifiable, and resistant to capture.
This site also serves as a personal notebook — a space for ideas, drafts, and reflections that don’t fit anywhere else. It’s powered by Ghost, maintained by me, and always evolving.
About Me
I’m Nick Carroll. I build decentralized publishing systems for lawyers, law firms, and legal organizations who want ownership over their identity, audience, and platform.
Where I Work
At alt[2+1], we design the infrastructure behind OLPN — systems that support self-hosted legal publishing, verifiable credentials, and long-term independence across the legal web.
Where I Write
I write about law, identity, and decentralized media. TLE Publish is where I explore how open protocols and trusted credentials are reshaping legal authorship and distribution.
